most magnifying lens won't let you see the trichomes

but at radioshack and others there is a portable 60 - 100x microscope

the field is small and its a bit tricky to work with but w/ practice you can get a very clear view of the trics for about $10

$10.99

Illuminated Microscope Model: MM-100 | Catalog #: 63-1313
A powerful 60-100x magnification microscope with an extremely lightweight and portable design.

Hobo is right...that small microscope is just tailor-made for us growers!~

I never try to look at the trichs while they are still attached to the plant...instead, I trim a couple small pieces from a sugar leaf and then review those under the scope on a table where I can steady my hands and adjust the focus...works mucho better.

Wife always knows when I'm getting close to a harvest...I seem to walk around with the imprint of that little rubber lens-cover around my eye all the time..

Best $11.00 you'll ever spend for your grow room.

I have a new one and one from a few years ago. The new ones are a little easier for me.

Default Day 68 New pics..

Sorry been so long...pics not real great either. Today when we watered, we found these little tiny white bugs in the catch trays. We got rid of the trays, figure we don't need them till next watering. Any idea what these could be? We didn't see anything on the plants themselves...

Ok, we pulled them. Temps have been getting wayyy to damn hot (100 outside, up to 100 in grow room as well). They were close enough... and we have a clone we had taken off of one of these plants that is now huge that really needed to go into the grow room. So we pulled some bulbs and that has cut down on the temp prob. Now we'll just wait and see how much we yield. Aren't expecting much...not a whole lot on these 3 plants. Not bad for beginners I think though..Here's pics of clone 1 in it's new environment.

Default yield

well, it's pretty well dried out now, going from paper bags to jars tonight. only checked one of the three, but it looks like about 1/2oz each. not a lot, but REALLY good. it won't last long here though. got 3 clones and 2 female bagseed in tub now. took 6 clones from big clone. don't know if i can grow enough w/ cfls for us. might need HPS. we'll be more carefull this time and maybe do better. if not it's time for change...
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!! i've learned a lot since joining this site. i already have a new question. the big plant has black leaf edges on many leaves. what does that mean? used non nut soil, non nut perlite, little bit of bone meal, and superthrive. also maxi-grow veg fert. the last couple of weeks.

Hiouchi,

Can you post up a pic of the sick looking leaves?

Did you check the chart in the FAQ?:

Grow Marijuana FAQ, Cannabis cultivation - marijuana growing tips & photos

Nuthin wrong with small plants...you just need more of 'em!
