I hope to upgrade to a 400w hps for flower in the next month or two.

I have been using the cfl's from seed and then veg and then on to clones and then flowering.

I feel like if you can do it with cfl's better light would just make the whole thing that much easier.

i need to build a little cfl room for mothers an clones..how many you use..

IT depends how far along they are.

I use blue 6500k 15w 21" gro lights for the clones.
The mom I use 1 42w to maintain in 18/6 when I am maturing or maintaining her.

Those smaller plants (8) have 3 42w cfl's over them in flower.
The larger plant is the first mom that I am flowering out.
She has 2 42 w cfl's on her.

My main room is just for flowering.
I usually put clones in there also under the 15watters on the other side of the same room./

I have the new clone mom in there also.
She will be moved to another room with just 18/6 when she starts to pre flower.

I prefer the 21" lights for clones that have just went into soil.
I do that for about 1-2 wks and then they go under the 42w cfls in main flower area.

I am trying to synthesize a SOG.

When I take the cuttings I keep them in the bathroom about 6ft away from a lower watt incadescent.
I usually keep that on at least 18/6 or 24.
On or the other no flipping or flopping.
This is why I put the clones into 12/12 asap.

The regulated light is imparitive.

60watt cfl cuttings seedling
175watt mh for the mothers
400watt hps flower
