OK...time to go with T-5's!

Ok Folks...can't stand the heat anymore, and it's not even summer yet. I am having fits cooling my rooms right now, mostly due to the veg light (600 MH conversion) drawing air from the garage, and then having it sucked back out through the air-cooled fixture and back into the garage...when it is hot outside that garage air gets heated up too fast, and stays hot. Then, my flower lights (2 X 600W HPS) come on in the evening and the room is already warm from the hot day and hot veg room next door...yep, it can hit 85 in 30 min. after lights-on.

So, I am changing to a 8 lamp T-5 fixture...but which one????

I NEED to get this ordered today...thinking of this one:

2 of the 4 lamp fixtures, side by side. I can set them up on separate adjustable hangers, which will let me place them at optimum height over the taller (8-12" plants) and also over the smaller plants and freshly rooted clones (3-6").

Other option is this new one from HTG, and buy 2 of them to mount side by side.

Opinions on either? Other stores seem to be too expensive (I can get 2 fixtures PLUS lamps from HTG for about $300 total.

Which would you get, or that have experience with?

I'd go with the ones listed on eBay, the warranty is a year longer.

I agree. Looks like a good seller. Lots of options. I love my t-5's but mine are just a small set. and bookmarked that seller for the future. Thanks ISO.

Just ordered 2 of THESE.

These are strictly for vegging, and I asked for the 6500k lamps to go with them.

Hopefully they will be here early next week and I can stop this heat from making a mess of my gardens! I know T-5's still put out some heat, but I can more than manage that. Problem was that, by the time my flower lights came on in the late evening (9) the air supply they were drawing from was already warmed up during the day by the veg light.

I am also going to install an outside air vent, pumping outside air directly into the flower chamber. Should be fine for the summer months..might have to re-visit it come next fall/winter, as I don't want to be sucking 30 degree F. air into the room.

Hey ISO, If you don't get tracking info in 48hrs call them and they'll give it to you. Other than getting tracking info out haven't had any problems with HTG.

I will tell you this about ordering from htgsupply, off of ebay, they are a decent company, Tony nice, but they have 3 levels of how they charge shipping, Ebay being the highest shipping charges, Then off of there web site is 2nd, but if you call em, you'll save a bunch on shipping.

I've seen this several times, on my last order from them, I priced it out on there site, than I called it in, and I saved $45.00 on shipping charges.

I wold have bought from Hid Hut, but the HTG Supply fixtures were the best deal out there for anything of quality. They've done an outstanding job so far of vegging for me.

Bought from HTG several times and always had the best of service. Like Video I call them rather than buy off eBay.
