i dont have very good vent its in my closet i was lookin into one,i have to go hgt just cant drive right now cuz my right arm is in a sling and i have a stick shift.maybe later on i wanna build a room in my basement

CFL can short out if they get too hot, happened to me earlier on to a few times, actually the last time that happened was after I tried to build a smaller veg box with CFLs in may or so... *gettin to old lately*

never the less, CFLs produce quiet a bit heat, if you don't believe me touch one that been fired up for a few hour. and this fact combined in a multi-fixture, in addition with poor to no airflow that could cool down things they brake with in days, in my case with in hours.

so, to prevent this mishap in future either get separate fixtures for your CFLs, but this is often unpracticable, or get a active cooling in in terms of a little PC fan blowing a them cool air from the outside and a hole to evacuated the hot air coming from the bulge of tube-clews of the CFLs.

Giggles, I helped him thru a PM or two today. Robert is going to send him a free replacement bulb.
He has the 3 105 watt in a reflector set, that promises a total of 20,000 lumens per sq foot. They are new on the market, from China. For a small two sq ft grow space, they are all he needs for VEG and BLOOM.

Seriously, aren't the advanced in technology just great?

I can't wait until they create something stronger with more lumens while at the same time, reducing the amount of wattage it consumes... It's only a matter of time and $...

Great idea with the PC fan, I do the same thing and it works great!

I can touch his lights and hold them in my hand, I have the same ones. They come from the vendor in indiviual reflectors, or in a 3 bulb set ! He posted pics of them on his journal page.

the lights are nice the bulb they do produce lil heat but like rosey u can touch it my closet is real small in fact the bubbleponics just fits in side ways with maybe a inch from handle to wall.they are nice i would like to add the two fixture roseman has for my bloom,my temps are around 76 and humidity is 40.
