Lightbulb HID or CFL? 60 plants in a 15'x40' room

I'm starting a grow room that is 600 sq. ft (kinda big for the grow). I don't want to partition off the room. Recently purchased 2 NEXTGEN 1000W BALLASTS w/ 2 Super HPS (enhanced spectrum) bulbs. After reading about heat signature's given off in the middle of the night, i'm wondering if maybe CFL would have been a better choice? The shop where I bought these lights didn't even mention CFL. Can you get the same Growth and buds with CFL lighting? Also i'm using a General Hydroponics AeroFlo2 mobel 60 ( its a 40 gal resivor w/ 6 grow chambers, each w/ 10 spots for plants. Spread out it's 13 feet long and 3 feet wide. This is for 60 plants.

All the help is appreciated. This is my first grow (decided to go big right off the bat

Good Lord Woman! You do not mess around! I am impressed all to hell! Good for you Land! way ta go!

You are a legal grower and it is legal in your state. I would use the hps right from the start, either on 24 hours of light or 18 on, 6 off. Don't over worry about the heat signature, Land. If you need to, you can get something for the walls to reduce this. Talk to GSR. He will help you sweetie.

Good for you! You have huge Ovaries! You know what I mean? LOL!

I am pround of you, sweetie. VERY proud!

Personally I would start out small. But screw it
A 1000 watt will work for a 6x6 foot area. More than that ull have spots getting very little light. I use a 600 for a 4.5x4.5 area ant it works very well. 400 would b 3x3 area

Thanks to all of you that have taken the time to send suggestions when I've asked for help. GSR went beyond the call of duty with tons of help for me. And J-Angel you'll always have a place in my heart for believing in me. I was your problem child that is now moving up! lol You guided me to the written information I was seeking. I became encouraged with the knowlege I was gaining. I'm going to form a non-profit corporation for my medicine and a collective for women. WOW, does this site have a thread on How to get more than 24 hours out of a day? lol And I'm sticking with the 1000 watt lights as suggested!
