Default HELP What to plant???

Hi there im new to the forum so HI I was looking for some advice. I have just completed my grow closet it is 2x5 ft and 9ft tall and I am using a 300 8U CFL Blue and Red spectrum bulb. The thing is I have limited space and this will be my first grow and I want things to go well.
Can you recomend which seeds (strain) to plant?? They can be tall and not too wide and also how many do you think I could plant in this area without over planting? and acheving a high yeild??

Regards

What to plant? Cannabis of course!

What strain? Well, that is a big question sometimes.

Fortunately that space is good for many strains.

I personally grow in 2ft x 1.25ft x 3ft tall, so I don't think you'll have to be too picky.

Welcome to Green Passion! Glad to have you as part of the community. I would have to say something like SuperSilverHaze or another mostly Sativa strain would be good in your space because they get very tall and not too fat. Indoors in waterfarms SSH produces about 3-4 ozs and in soil about 1 1/2 - 2 max and outdoors its good for at least 2 P's. Good luck with your grow show!

With that hieght you could also have a small propagating and vegging area and then grow shorter, indica plants. This way you would use the space well and could have a contueous harvest, if you ever have a mind to. Lots to choose from. It does depend what you like as far as type of high and need. Let us know.

Also, any sativa could take longer to finish flowering. As long as 4 to 6 weeks in some cases over an indica, which will take usually 8 weeks to finish flowering. So that is to be considered as well.

Peace

This may seem like a silly question but is that sort of yield quite typical of an small indoor grow as I may now change my plan to a larger scale???

A suggestion for the same sized space for consideration was White Rhino which I did agree upon. They said it was an eager garden starter. I do admit the price is hefty for such but I can understand why to some degree. I would like it to be gift passed hand by hand amongst a community rather than through the mail.

^^^^^ what'cho talkin' 'bout Willis?" ^^^^^ the only things passed hand to hand here are LARGE VIRTUAL DOOBIES as there's no trading allowed of anything else....

lynneandcrow...

Yields will depend on your skill level and on giving them the proper amount of light, ventilation, nutrients, temperature, and pH....and how well you can dial your space in overall to get all of those parameters to work in harmony together.

To go larger will require far more light. HID light, IMO. (another forum)

In the end if you concentrate on growing the healthiest plants you can you will be rewarded at harvestime.

good luck with your grow

I kind of lean towards the Indica grow and dividing your cab into top and bottom halves then like Jangel said you could have a perpetual harvest. I am currently growing some 100% Indica plants outdoors and they would easily grow in a 4ft tall space, so you could grow top and bottom at the same time. It also depends what you are looking for in a strain. What do you need it to do for you if you are a MMJ patient then tell us your ailment(s) and we can suggest a strain that would most help you.
Peace

No I did not mean trading in the mail, internet, and such.

A hand is a physical appendage of the body. Hand to hand would be from one appendage to another and a community could be any place where people live together.
