Yea man before I started I had my supplies for about 4 months. I just read a lot of information first. Started 2 off 8 days ago now for my first time the 1 is 7 cm tall looking very healthy and green, other 1 is about 4 cm. I found out that it wasnt planted properly and the root was almost out of the dirt so i gently replanted it deeper. And it has rebounded on the positive now.

question.... i have my plant in a 3 gallon water jug(which you can see on page 1) and i can see the roots through the bottom of the jug.my question is, is it time to transplant it?? the reason i ask is because i've seen alot of pics of people with 3-4 feet plants in little pots.

Yes, it is time to replant. It means your plant has filled up that contianer and used all the nutes up and is hunting for more.

Okay, to test this: water well one day, next day, put your hand over the dirt, with the plant between your fingers and upend it, take off the pot and see how the roots look, if they truely have filled the pot. Be prepared and have a new pot ready with dirt already in the bottom and plant that sucker in there and gently tamp dirt around the sides to fill it up again, not like you are packing dirt for a basement, but just to take out the air pockets. Water well again around the edges and gods your uncle.

Peace.

If it is definatly dead and crispy quite often you can just gently pull it and it willcome off. If not cut it back cleanly to the stalk. I just pinch them off, with my nails. faster than sizzors. But mine have a LOT of leaves and a few dead leaves or yellowing leaves is normal and you should thin down the lower part of the plants near the soil to aid in air circualtion and avoid mold problems. a few inches up if they are over 10 in. tall. but don't go nuts or anything. Use good judgement.

Peace
