Cfl Dwc Grow (stealth Dresser Recon Mission)

What's up guys. To make a long story short I basically am continuing a thread that I started over at Rollitup.org of my hydroponic cfl grow that I started about a month and a half ago. You can view the thread here. The thread basically spans 5 pages from the birth of the plants from seed to the first week of flowering in which the plants needed an emergency transplant into my dresser. Basically I needed to hide the plants and hide them fast so I ended up taking certain parts out of the drawers of my dresser to create a very sufficient and 100% stealth dresser grow setup.

My plants are about two weeks into flowering and both are female. Two are indoors in the stealth setup and the third one is outdoors but has no definite sexing signs yet. I also had three haze crossbreeds as you can see in the rollitup thread but they were sacraficed

So anyway since a good thread is always because of pictures I have compiled a nice array of photos from what the past 2 weeks of flowering have been like for me...hehe

This was before they were removed from the rubbermaid stealth grow and they were tied down..

My outdoor plant:

Stealth dresser!!!
I removed the bottoms from the middle drawers and used the top to hang the light fixture and the bottom to hold the plants. I finally removed the back panel from the bottom middle drawer so you have access to the plants when you take off the back panel of the dresser which is easily accessible. I've seen people make the back panel a hinged door and glue on all the drawer covers but I found it better to have working drawers that can easily be put back together afterwards.

A nice mix of 6500K and 3000K 26 watt CFLs. Ten of them to be exact..

I fixed the light shining through in those spots in the picture so it even less conspicious.

I am thinking of putting together a slideshow for each plant since I have pictures of their entire life dating back to the sprouting of the seeds. It looks cool just scrolling through them and watching the amazing growth of something so beautiful looking. i love this plant, plain and simple...ahhhh memoriesssss

Yea, thank god for HIGH TIMES magazine. That guy completely gutted his dresser though and I decided to keep it more put together.

ever thought of cutting the front off, gluing the the drawer fronts shut, putting hinges in and something like to magnetic cupboard closer or similar - it is a lot of work to start with but would make the access easier for you and reduce the risk that someone will notice your grow by just wondering past a nob ripping down a front panel and revealing your grow - just an idea to get it really fancy

and have you look yet into topping, as you very limited with space in your grow drawer, it reduces height and for every top you take you plant will grow 2 new leaving you with a small, densely bushy plant and if you tie down the branches as with LST you get a nice little tree of buds. with just LST alone you won't yield such effects in neither the same time nor space, therefore the combination of both methods could be very interesting for you

Yes I considered gutting the dresser because that's what the original article showed you to do but I want to keep the dresser in working order plus I pretty much get the same amount of space whether I glued the drawer fronts on or just had the sides hold them up. I want to be able to reassemble when I am finished in the future.

Also, if you check my pics before the plants were put in the dresser they were tied down because of height conditions and I have produced alot of inner growth. The bigger of the two might need to be tied down a little because it got a few burnt tips from the leaves touching the CFLs but nothing major.

As for topping I've heard that plants with removed/pruned leaves or stems do not produce more yield then it's worth to do it in the first place. That a perfectly left alone plant will grow just as good. I might consider tying down the top of the bigger plant once more but that's about it I think.

ive done a dresser grow also. had great success. yours looks good. i am now legal in the state of or(i hope i can say that im new here). so i dont have to go stealth. just set up an areojet 24. i am excited

You're lucky man! How did you manage to do so? Did you get a 215 card or did the state laws change there?? I'm really curious as to why NY hasn't gone medical yet.

Unfortunately I still live with my mother so it was only a matter of time before she stumbled upon the setup. I made it all the way till a week into flowering before it was noticed which is pretty good but now all is well after the emergency transplant because it's literally impossible to know they are still here.

If you or anyone else has any idea on how to convince a mother that growing weed in my room isn't wrong then let me know...until then I have to keep it stealth!!! She knows that I smoke it which means she probably figures I go and pick it up so my only good reason for it was,

"If I'm going to do it anyway wouldn't you rather me grow it safely indoors rather then me driving around to pick it up from dealers and risk getting in trouble?"

I still feel that this wouldn't work though so if you can think of something better I am all ears. I'd like to educate my mom that marijuana is harmless and poses no threat to her house nor is it any risk running a few CFLs with 2 small plants. Ayayay...moms are a pain

A lot simpler than tying your plants down and not hard at all to do. Good looking plants. You are doing wonderful! If you get that slide show going, let us know.

to my observation, at least with most strains, this is not the case. If you grow the usual indoor "christmas tree" you end up with one sweet cola, some good site buds, some small buds and lots of tiny stuff. Once the plant loses its tip it will grow 2 to replace the lost one, and if this step is taken ahead of time you will end up with a plant grown after a single topping into a stem splitting into 2 strong stems which both will grow branches and each a huge main cola. And taking in consideration that there is not the space to grow to "full" size as outdoors the colas will carry the main bulk. the one thing here that is also to be kept in mind is to provide enough volume for the roots to grow, the root system must be able to support multiple colas growing on a single plant.
