how many citral plant do you have kailiwela? telling from your intro thread you started out with 4 seeds and ended with one lady, did you clone this one or did you post multiple picture of the same plant as the plants in the pictures progress... just a bit puzzled right now

besides, you doing well on growing some fat indica leaves with a great health green

Thank you for replying. Sorry for the confusion about the pictures. This is my current grow from the begining. I had two Citrals for this grow--the big one you were referring to was the male and the LST'd plant is my current female. I took off the pipe cleaners to let her stretch to the ceiling--only a few inches to the ceiling. The other two i had attempted were from a previous grow.
No clones yet. After i harvest this plant i'm going to re-veg, attempt to clone (failed on my previous male), and try a SOG.
I'm suppose to be moving within a few months so i'll try all these things since i'm not able to participate in a new grow.

have a nice day,
kailiwela44

Important things to know about this grow:

I do not have 'optimal' conditions:
  • Growing in temperatures that are:
    • range from 79F (lights off) to lower 90F (lights on)
    • mean temperature of ~87F lights on ~83 lights off
  • Size restricted
    • vertical only has approximaltle 16" for growth.
    • 14" deep
    • one gallon pot
  • Bugs
    • battled some white crawlers in my soil
Things i have done to alleviate limitations:
  • Temps
    • Home-made co2 (yeast, H20, sugar)
    • keep circulating air inside box.
  • size
    • LST
  • bugs
    • used veg and fruit pest cleaner from Wal-mart. A few days later only a few. A week later none.
`aina (land/Soil):
Black gold potting soil w/ perlite, sphagum moss

Nutes:
  • soil
    • Osmocote (pink one for vege)--don't think i'll use this if i'm doing plants from veg to flower. My female shows OD on N--tips pointed down. I may use it for mother plants and flower the mothers after the 4 months of feeding Osmocote does.
    • pinch of dolomite lime (ph 7.8)
  • ferts
    • MG bloom (don't worry no burns yet) 15-30-15
    • Molasses- unsulpherd not black strap
    • Schultz african violet
Wai (water). I started watering with 6.0<6.5 ph untill leaves were yellowing. I didn't do anything for a couple weeks to see what happens. I took a ph test of my run-off water and it showed 5.0<6.0ph so i increased the watering ph to 6.5<7.0. No odd yellowing of fan leaves. all green and growing healthier looking.

have a nice day,
kailiwela44

Hi kaili. Nice plant you have there. She looks great! Nice and green. way to go!

Here is a link on LST'ing if you would like to read it. Lots of imput from members as well, with super cropping, repairing, all kinds of things for your info. Hope you like it.

Citral had started her "explosion of growth", as described in SMB..., on her main cola and lower branches. The second ranked cola has appeared to be healthier than the main cola. The main colas has her fan leaves curled under--imo due to the lack of proper ehaust at the celing.
I also observed that the circulation fan has contributed to the higher temps overall inside the box. I switched the time for the circulation fan to be running for 30min and off for 30min during lights on. Lights of regimine has stayed the same. The effect this had on the temperature is quite reasonable to continue to use. When the fan turns on, the temp will rise a few degrees, then turn off, lower a few degrees, and repeat.
I'll take a few pictures on this Thursday as it is about the fifth week of 12/12.
I believe that the higher temps have slowed its flowering growth, but the added co2 may help her potential yield. Fingers crossed of course.

have a nice day,

That's a cool idea. When i had started to LST, my plant kept pulling off the pipe cleaner. i thought i had the stoniest idea by using my thermometer sensor as a counter weight. I also thought that since it's a little heavy and not secured in may bounce, sway, and move around helping strengthening its stem. The reason why i didn't is because when i started LST i put her close to the soil. If i had let her stretch up i would have tried. Maybe the next one.

much mahalo,
kailiwela44
