Rep Power: 117 | | Best strain for growing with CFL's anyone?? Hi all, my bagseed has blessed me with a sativa that I really like. Yeild is not great YET but I see potential! Gotta do your best with what you have, right? They come up to the lights but haven't been having too many problems yet as they seem to have stopped stretching JUST in time! Keeping them in 16oz beer cups I think is helping too lol I am looking to buy my first seeds now. I have read Indicas are best for my setup but i REALLY like Sativa highs, very energetic high. My question is, if you have an Indica, if you pick it when trichs are like 10%amber, won't you get a sativa like high?? I just need to find the best possible strain for my setup which is in my sig. 10 seeds would supply me for a lifetime!! Not much room here and no major plans of making another cab at the moment. Thanks in advance for the help here!!! | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to sabasi For This Useful Post:

Hi there sabasi I like Indica's for there pain relief but you could harvest them a bit sooner and not get a real couch lock from them. They do grow shorter and bushier. There are also many good mixed strains where you get the best of both worlds in a nice cross between Sativa and Indica.
Have you ever looked at High Grade Seeds here on our site they have some banners. Check them out there strains are very good and reasonable too, many people here use them. You can also ask HG questions and will usually get right back to you with the right info.
Also, check out Shinningwind's journal or pineboy too they have some nice HGS strains going.

As I only have bagseed at the moment I had no choice. A pro for me for sativas would have to be the daytime high as I'm pretty mellow anyways and can usually sleep well even after drinking a mountain dew lol NL seems like a very popular choice and I am leaning towards that for now. I would however consider a mix of the two, it could be a real learning experience! I would like to see your NL! | | The Following User Says Thank You to sabasi For This Useful Post:

Mixing strains with radically different mature heights will leave you with a uneven light canopy, forcing you to maybe supplementing the main light with CFL's

so is there no easy way to force sativas to stay short and even with indicas?
wouldnt the light height affect that?

wouldnt the light height affect that? | The best I have managed so far is to keep them in small cups and under cfl's It is very tough when the plant doesn't listen to height restrictions! They want to stretch even with light close to them here. But the bagseed strain I have seems to be more predictable as time goes by. I'm sure someone will chime in with a better answer lol | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
