Default The best laid plans

The basement grow is going to have to wait much longer than I thought. We will be having a border living in it for a little while. I don't expect that she will be here long; she is the kind of person who meets men online and gets married. That's why she will be with us - she got married last year and divorced this year. I know that I will keep a distance from her cause we don't have the same view on life in general and I'm old enough to speak my opinion. She apparently is pretty ignorant to this thing we do, smoking or otherwise. I even offered to move to the basement, but it's not working out that way. If I haven't learned anything else in my years, it's how to do things on the DL without calling attention to myself. I'm just not real thrilled with the whole thing, but can't leave her out in the street.

In the meantime, I was already one step ahead of this development only because I was thinking about how to rearrange my bedroom and it turns out that what I wanted to do was also making my closet more secure to keep growing. I will simply take the design from before and adapt it to my closet and CFL's.

8'x22.5"x8' is what I have to work with and it was already used for a grow, so the shelves and most things are still in place. My very large bookcase will be put on wheels and put in front of the closet doors.
This all fits in with the way I was rearranging the room and it's got benefits. Ventilation can be accomplished in a few different ways.

Since I was set up with CFL's before, I'm going back there. In a space this small (only 22.5" wide}, I had to be creative with reflecting the light. What I found was that if I place mirrors in strategic places, I can bounce light back to wherever I wanted. The light is pretty pure going back to the plants. If there are mirrors opposing each other, it is multiplied quite a bit. Unconventional... yes. Effective? Hell yes. I come from the school of thought to accomplish the mission by any means possible. BTW -- there was no added heat.

My plants got all light and they were very happy. Low, bushy, many nodes. I trained the branches to fan out from the middle. They were a beautiful thing... until they were banished to the outside. This time, I get to see it through to the end. (knock on wood).
