| I have a big fan blowing up to circulate the air while the flowering plants are sleeping. and I leave the exhaust running as it works for both sides. I have another rotating fan that goes off when the light does. They still need fresh air even if they are sleeping. For veg I have them all on 24/7 light. No fuss, no muss, no timers etc, and they are all doing very well.

the fan in your grow should be running all day long, so 24/7, as plants are passive breathers in contrast to us as we are active ones. This means again that the airflow is delivering the needed gases (day time: CO2 night time: O2) to the stomatous (gabs on leaves's underside). You have to understand that without this artificial movement, in nature winds do this job for the plant, the plant can not breath and therefore grow and at some point the plant will die. Actually, leaving a plant to grow indoors without a fan in the grow room will normally not kill it right away and even 2-3 month of flowering are survivable but it really decreases the yield, I would say that alone can make a good 30-40% difference in the end. So, leaving your fan running won't harm your grow, shutting it off periodically might harm your grow. It also effects the heat dispersion and humidity in your room, and along with that the air movement reduces the risk of fungi spores to settle down on your babies buds as well. ![]()

| If a first time grower's opinion counts I keep the fans on 24/7 whether light or dark and the grow room hasn't exploded or anything yet so I think it's alright. ;o
