I've never heard that brown hairs=pollination.
I have a room of females that are 40 days old, and their hairs are starting to brown and there has not been so much as a bag of weed in the house with a seed in it.
I thought that the browning of the hairs was just a sign of ripening.
I would love to learn more about this.

The pistols changing colour later in flowering is natural, it is showing signs of maturing.
Pistols that show the browning early on in flower could be an indication that perhaps there has been some pollination that may have occured. Or Even a slight rubbing up against or leaves from the plant itself or other plants close by rubbing on the pistols tend to make them brown up..
