Default When should I start the final flush before harvesting?

Hi Guys and Gals,
I have read that 10 to 7 days before harvest I should start a final flush (no nutes, just water and flushing solution) but I am a noob how can I know when I am 7 days away from harvest??? My trichomas are mostly cloudy (the strain is an 8 weeks strain and I am about 10 days from 8 weeks in flowering) But I have also read that some seedbanks sell some seeds claiming 8 weeks and plants turn out 9 to 10 weeks, so I will ask you how can I know when to start the final flush?
Peace
PS: I will try to post some trichomas pictures if needed to make a better judgement???

I would go by the trichomes... and maybe wait till they get a bit amber. I guess it also depends on the type of high you are looking for.

I agree with using trichomes as your guide. If they are cloudy then now is the time to start your flushing. If it needs to have more time it is ok to just water them. They do not need nutes. They will suck what they need from the shade leaves so don't trim them off, they will yellow and die.

How you want your high, euphoric or hammered? clear-cloudy= euphoric, cloudy-amber = hammer time. All cloudy stoned but not couch lock. You may want to harvest more than once off of a plant as the whole plant doesn't mature at the same rate. I did it that way.

Hi Bill,
So you are saying I can harvest a plant at different stage, some buds today and the rest (let“s say) in three days??? If this is what you meant that is wonderful! I did not know that. One more question, will this not turn them hermies???
Peace

well not enough time to turn them because you are harvesting.. and yes i start mine at the onset of when around 50% begin to cloud... because i dont like the couch lock lol and i usually harvest at the time when most are cloudy first onset of amber i snip.. so as stated above depends on the mood you want when you smoke and snip away..

good luck

Yeah.. I think a lot of people harvest at different stages... especially if you have some of your lower buds that have not been receiving as much light, etc. Some people will clip buds from the top, then let the rest go another week or so. I have never done it this way.. but sounds like a good idea!

Hey Man,

Those pics look like they could mature a little longer,
But once again it's all up to you,and what kind of high YOU want.

Asfar as Harvesting in Stages.
YES!
you can do this with NO problem to your babies,

I cut the Bottom 4 Branches off my plant about 2 weeks back,
to increase light and air movement down there .
but mainly
Just to sample the smoke !

Butif i were you, at this point, i would start cutting at the top,and work my way down,
because in all probability, the tops have more amber then the bottom,

so enjoy!

By the answers I have recieved here and in my other thread I would say that you should look at your trichomes, they will tell you
I did as Hatch adviced me, 10 feeding days since the day the pictures were taken and tomorrow I will start 10 flushing days, they are 50% clear, 40% milky and 10% amber
Peace

Average out the entire plant visually, some parts will mature slower but not by much.
