MJ is great but not so great for keeping alot of thoughts in the head simultaneously. Have fun whatever you do and thanks for sharing your experience with this!

Would it be possible to pick the seeds out before you water cure it? If so, I'll definately try it.

You could try water curing a couple of buds just to see the difference between air drying. |

Turns out (and it took a few bowls to come up with this thought) I can use a martini strainer for pickings. Man, this site is so super sweet.
Recently tossed out some clipping :-(

Now you have only 70 grams of bud left. WTF? But you are deceived because the 15 grams of THC is part of the remaining 70 grams of bud. 15 divided by 70 equals 21.42%. Sooo.... | You know, in states where Patients are limited to a particular amount in their possession like here in Michigan where we are limited to 2.5 ounces at any one time. I believe this system could benefit people by reducing the over all weight of their harvest yet, increasing the potency of the stash which seemingly would allow it to go further between harvests.
Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try this with my first harvest.

hi. I felt I should post on this thread as I want to say a big thank you to all the people who have added their two pennies on the subject. I had a disaster, all my plants got heavily covered in demolition / building dust. Beyond un-smokable / eatable, ready for the trash bin.
After I found this wonderful site, I have been experimenting to see if it is possible to get my grow back, following the good advice on this thread.
Rather than add to this thread with my personal experiences, I have a journal going in the 'journals section'. Do pass by, and if you have any advice or suggestions, they will be very welcome.
One thing which may interest some people, I am working on a vinegar cure. Initially this was to clean a particular not very water soluable contaminant. It transpires that Aceteic acid (that wot is in vinegar) may transform THC into another stronger chemical... yes this sounds like hippy dippy ledgend.. but I am beginiing to think that out of adversity may have come discovery. I can say one thing, I have have not been so stoned since the very ealy days. I would greatly appreciate if some other people would have the nerve to try it and let me know what the results are. You only need, a decent dry nug, some standard vinegar, and a way to dry it thoroughly. Plus sense of adventure!
Help me out please http://www.greenpassion.org/f24/urban-guerilla-15739/ The vinegar experience can be found at the end. I will post a more details as the weekend progresses.

this water curing is really interesting to me but it still scares the crap out of me. I'll have to take some and give it a shot and see how it goes.

I've tried this a couple of times- tastes terrible and not worth ruining good bud. If you try it, do a little bit to make sure you really want to do this. Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true. There IS a reason why this is not a common way to cure weed- if it was so good we'd all throw away our paper bags and Mason jars.

But I reserve judgement, I have another few oz on the go now, it will be a week or so before I can pass judgement on a full batch. So far I wouldn't say it tastes terrible, it just does not taste of much... which makes it quite sneeky |

I have an inexpensive ozone generator that can be used to purify water. It pumps ozone through 1/4" tube into an air stone, like an aquarium pump only not as much volume. Anyone have any idea if ozone will degrade THC or Delta 9? If it doesn’t I was thinking it could make curing even faster and remove more of the smell and impurities.

After my first water cure, the buds still had a very sweet smell to it.
I got the most enjoyment from it in a Vaporizer where the taste and aroma was best.
Jar cure rules but water cured has it's place in public places, dence and more odorless for concealment.

Try some of the water its soaking in on day 5, it will be sweet like a summer ice tea... well it did to me.
Gently shake off the excess water, hang or make a dry box with a room temp between 70-78.
