Yesterday when I change the water I made sure it was heated up just a little bit, perhaps 80°. Today I noticed the water has a slightly milky appearance. In addition to that the water still has an interesting odor coming off of it. I was hoping to only water cure for three or four days so I had some bud for this weekend but I think I'll do the full seven days.

peace,
R

the rate of a chemical reaction usually doubles for every 10 degree celcius increase.

so technically a water cure should go much faster in warmer water

this is the first thread I have seen going into detail on the water temp for a water cure....perhaps this is a heretofore neglected variable that is very important in how well/fast it works

In my outdoor thread

where I described using warm water. After 7 days mine still had smell and taste!! And it will thump you in the gray matter!

Perhaps once I get my main harvest I will water cure one batch with a higher temperature than other and see if it makes any difference. it does make a lot of sense that the batch with a higher temperature will cure much quicker than the cooler one. I suppose the bigger question is what effect, if any, will the different temperatures have on the quality of the finished product. if anyone has any experience with this please chime in.

peace,
R
