Default Shinningwinds New Iso Method

Hey folks..... Last Tuesday I started the process of making some iso hash. As I started to get into the whole process I tried something new and by jiminy it worked better than I could have imagined.

I wanted to do a pictorial documentation, but I haven't had the chance yet. I was even thinking of making a short video of the process but my skills are limited. I will still try to get some pics of the process this week. But for now.... I have done a little write up about the whole process and tools neccesary in my grow log at HGS and is on page 10 of my grow log. But here is the link for you to check it out untill I get a chance to do a better step by step with picture's. Hope it is understandible...

I've never made hash before using ISO, do you end up tasting it in the final product?

Looks gr8t Shinning I read the post and saw the pics. We want a smoke report please. How is the texture is it gooey and sticky or dry and firm? Have you run a lighter on the edge for a sec to see if it crumbles off?

Inquiring minds want to know...... And might I say it again it looks fine. Good work.

Sorry for the false hope's on this new method...

I really thought I had stumbled onto something.... Oh!! Well it must have been a blonde moment.

So what my friend was trying to get through my thick skull was.... There is probably still 50% THC suspended in the ISO, So today I will run my used iso through one more jar of bud,,, then let the iso evaporate off...

My poor friend... lol He was having a heck of a time convincing me of this... It wasn't untill I read Highgrade's post that I saw the light....

Thanks Highgrade...

Highgrade's Post
-----------------------
Hey Shinningwind,

Only "problem" I can see with the new method is that all the THC is diluted with the iso - there is no distillate from which to siphon off the iso. Once the iso hits the THC it becomes totally diluted with the iso. So syringing off the iso will, in my experience, be syringing off the THC as well.
------------------------------------------
Sorry for the confusion.......

So you mean the hash you have made that looks gr8t and now you have some extra oil. Sounds like a win win to me. Change your title to Shinnings new ISO hash with bonus ISO oil.

Let us know how that turns out.
