|  Is She Dying??? hi, My plant has been increasingly turning an odd colour....as you can see in the pics, the buds are turning an amber/brown. the trichomes seem this colour where the clouration is. the plant has been in flower for 5 weeks or so..... there seems to be new bud growing and popping up in areas...... is it dying or is it just ready for harvest?? maybe she is just a colourful plant...turning its colours, as a purple plant might.......? she is a very small plant....... i need help!! what do all you pro's think is going on here? should i chop her? | Harvesting is a matter of personal preference for the type of smoke that you want. Trich's clear? smoke will be more mental. Trich's cloudy? smoke will be better for medicinal. Trich's amber? smoke will be more of a body stone. Trich's brown? smoke will be a couch-lock. Remember that from the day that you harvest the plants will continue to mature for about 2 weeks afterwards ( I call it the 'coast'). After that the thc/cbd/cbn etc. start to change into the more stable compounds which will remind you of ditch-weed when you smoke it. Getting back to your plant. It appears that the plant has had to cope with either a fungal or a microbiological attack either one will stunt a plant if not outright kill it. I can only base this on the overall appearance and experience. I could be wrong. If it were mine I would cure it out now and make honey oil out of it using the 'super critical extraction' method (butane). I cannot stress this enough! Do not use any alcohol except grain alcohol (Everclear) to remove any impurities left over from the extraction process otherwise you will be introducing impurities that should never be taken into the human body. Sorry, didn't mean for this to be so long of a reply but I just hate one liners.

| thanks guys.....i think ill chop it....even tho the new calyx seem like they might pop......it did go through alot of stress during a move, from outdoor to indoor.....plus a car ride. i wish i knew what was going on here....... | ||||||||

| im not sure i cant really tell anything from the pics ... it does look like it had a problem and im not so sure i would have harvested i probly would post a few more pics to help get an idea .... 5 wks is to early even early girl is min of 6 weeks to mature fully ... but good luck let us know how it goes!

| looks a bit like starting bud rot... not good:( watch out during drying for more signs of mold grow, if so cut the moldy parts out and force/quick dry the rest.
