Talking My First Harvest...

Well, I didn't know what the hell I was doing aside from reading the FAQ and looking at all the pics and posts you folks have done here. Basically, I just tried to trim it like Y'all did! (please let me know if I didn't do it correct...I'll get it "right" yet!)

This is NFO 1, my first plant. It was in Veg for 62 days, and in flower for 50. The trichs were about 25% amber, and since this is a "cranial" herb anyway, I felt I best get it harvested and dried before I get hit with the rest of the plants to do, most of which will be ready in 4-7 days, or sooner.

Started off by taking off some of the lower branches. I set them into 3 tubs, one for little stuff, one for mid-sized and one for the big colas. Fortunately, my Dad was here for an early Thanksgiving dinner (we had it a day early so all could be here) and he helped me manage it all. He even took a toke (asked for it!) of a small C99 bud that I had harvested early. This was a nug off of a lower branch and barely cloudy trichs, but 2 tokes still gave me a hellofa buzz! (Can't wait to harvest those gals!)

I've attached a bunch of pics, and please let me know if I trimmed too much, not enough or ?? A few harvested bud pics are included, but I'll likely have to use a 2nd post to fit it all in.

Also there is a pic of the veg room table. As you can see, I'm out of space and need to get several of them into flower!

This harvest is dedicated to the good members of GreenPassion..it would not have happened without GP and you good folks!!!

Is there a word that transcends "VERY"?

Every time I would walk though the front room the wife started hollering for me to "Be SURE you don't touch anything", and "Honey, you need to go wash your hands again!"

Not sure what to do today about the next plant...very little room remains in the dryer closet...might have to resort to the GN's Paper Bag method!

DWC: I will be saving an eighth for "stock" while the rest cures in the jars. I should have a report for ya by Sunday..

Very nice start! The trim is the same that I use except that I take it all the way down to individual buds ( just a matter of personal preference).
The brown paper grocery sack method is the way that I have used for years and I prefer it over all others. Not too fast and not too slow.

Keep up the good work!

Default Trim

:santa2: Great job on the trim I trim the same way, leave a little of the small leafs with all those cones. You got a nice yeild out of that girl too.Looks of the pix of the veg table you going to build another drying box or enlarge that one.If you get in a pinch use a heavy cardboard box.Tape or glue or push small nails on angle through the top edge and tie strings to them and hang your buds from the string. You can cut two flaps in the end and open and close them as needed.Saw that on MR.Greenman video clip.It works for me.I have been drying mine like that for a long time. The box can be broken down and put away till the next use.If you got alot 2 or 3 boxs.It will get you through till the next harvest. That girl was good to you.Isopropyl Alcohol will cut it off your hands alot easyer than soap.Sticky Fingers oh how I love sticky Fingers. PEACE
