so I know a lot of people consider the males and hermaphrodites completely useless (aside from intentional pollenation) but I always at least made bhang, brownies, cannabutter, or would just dry the pollen sacks and leaves and smoke them after killing the males or hermies. I don't know, just doesn't feel right to let good cannabinoids go to waste lol. obviously the ones I've done were not fully mature because they didn't fully develop pollen sacks, no females got fertilized, but me and my friend seemed to get at least mild medical benefits and a faint buzz. whenever a dry spell hit us and we were desperate we would smoke bowl after bowl after bowl of leaves and eventually felt better and "different" than we did before smoking. one time my friend accidentally grew a hermaphroadite and didn't catch it till it was already mature. he pulled it and gave it to me, I ground it up really fine, stems, leaves, bud/sacks and put a shot of liquor in and then warm milk and let it steep for a few hours in the refrigerator. I definitely got effects from that. I've heard research that says inactive doses of THC can boost and even bring back the effects of opioids after they start to wear off. it can boost analgesia by 1.5-10+% depending which opiate/opioid is used. for example methadone is 4 times stronger when THC is present, even though the level of THC administered would be considered an inactive THC dose. so even if the amount of psychoactive compounds present in males is "useless" to most people, its possible pain patients could benefit from using their males instead of throwing them out.
does anyone else find any use for males and hermaphrodites? if you had a HUGE amount would it be worth trying to make a tincture?
