Default Looking for mesh

Hi

I'm looking for a small amount of silkscreen 100 mesh for DYI experimentation. Any suggestions for inexpensive sources?

TIA

Hmm.. Maybe a screen printing shop? They may have some extra they are willing to part with.

I got a frame and screen from a place that does T-shirt printing. $15, used but clean.

The finest this company has is 110, and it is cheap. It will do if you are doing any screening for kief. Not much dif. between 110 and 100. I took fabric arts in college and am a screen printer, as well as many other hats I wear!

But I would try out Pappy's idea first. It would be cheaper if you just need a small amount.

Peace.

If the fabric is too fine, it won't work to well and if it is too large, the quality of your keif will suffer due to the amount of leaf material that falls through.

Be sure and freeze your material for at least 45 minutes, so the trichomes become hard and brittle and breaks of the leaf easier. First, grate your material through a flour sifter, which then falls onto the screen. It will take a little practice until you figure out how gentle or rough you need to be. If you bounce and shake the screen, you will get purer kief, as opposed to running a card across the material, forcing it through the screen. You'll have different grades as you go.

You can then press the trichomes into hash.

Many Hobby Shops carry pre-made screens for people to print gift cards and such.

for just trying you could go with some silk from a scarf or similar

i made me a screen from some framed silk bought at the hobby section but i'm too lazy for that method and have plenty of isopropanol to work with
