First off, lemme say those are some pretty impressive buds for grown under cfl's. I am imressed.

So far as taking a taste, you gotta do what you gotta do, but the bud will defenitely improve with proper curing. It is worth the wait.

If I'm low on weed at harvest, I do water cure a bit, to hold me over, til the rest is cured the more traditional way. Water curing takes me 9 days, traditional in like 3 weeks.

ever tried to cure that way, sure it takes some of the tasted and the typical smell of weed but if you do it well you end up with clear smoke and my reasoned cured BB ended up to develop a nice light fruity smell i would rule that harsh on water curing man

then mazar is a quick weed, WW takes about 6 weeks normally, BB is even worse and takes about 8-9 weeks for a perfect cure. till week 4 it is still lunge-killing harsh to smoke (i cough quiet a bit lately due to this)
a good cure takes time, i would never rush it anymore then to have it for at least 4 week in cure normally.

thanks everyone for all the info, And I'm glad I could impress video man, Wait till our second grow, I'm sure we'll do even better, that poor girl suffered a lot of newbie stress...

But they say whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I'm like the bowflex for marijuana!!!

It takes about 7-12 days before the chlorophyll is gone from the buds. 7-12 days is the time frame most people cure their buds for. But the best curing time is 4 months. Buds are best smoked between 4 and 8 months from harvest.

tried different ways of curing with my first homegrown, I will only do the "traditinal" curing in the future as the result is simply the best!
after drying the weed 6 or 7 days it lost 2/3 of weight, and the further curing will not reduce the weight, but my experience is that potency is much higher after 30 days of curing, don´t know for what reason, as there is no more loss of water, there might be some chemical processes within the buds.
