How do you harvest?

Okay, I am curious, and have a question.
When you do finally harvest, and you have your main cola in your hands, do you leave the main cola on the stem, or do you trim it off the stem?

I use to leave them on the stem, thinking I was preserving it in it's original state. I recently sold one cola to a friend who begged me for it, than afterwards he had the audacity to complain, saying he paid for the weight of the stem!
I explained to him the cola weighed 33 grams, and I only charged him for 28, so he did not pay for the stem.
He still didnt seem happy though.

for drying, i leave all the popcorn buds along the branch so its easier to hang it all. I also trim right after harvest, as its easier for me, and makes gooey hash on my scissors hehehe.

Once its dried, i then do any further trimming if necessary on those little buds that are hard to get to all the leaves, then i cut off every bud that doesnt completely connect into another to make a cola. and cure them separately. Then i cure the colas and save the nice big potent buds for more special occasions... lol aka any reason whatsoever.

I hate when people say that, for one the stem weighs next to nothing, for 2 the big colas are the most potent buds!! and if you credited him 5 grams for a stem, thats pretty darn fair if you ask me. and wait a minute..... a 33 gram cola!??!? PIC!? lol please

I trim off the stem I dry in a big box so I lay it on screens. I do leave about a 6-8 in stem in each cola. Once in a blue moon I might get a bitch but they pretty much like the colas! I once had a guy bitch about 4 grams light The dick bought 3 lbs! and biched about 4 grams!. He dont see me anymore! I hear he wants more but sorry I dont have any any more! Dont ya hate some people!!

Hey Hobo, I'm not sure which cola it was, but they were all monsters from this grow. It is medi-bud.

Hey VM,

That's some huge buds, dude! Even from a distance it's obvious they are thick and dense.

btw: I usually trim fan leaves and then hang to dry. Much easier to do final trim after drying and before curing.

i trim all the leave off while still in pot then cut stem at bottom then hang for a week to give the plant time to convert its starch in to shugars . i keep the room well ventilated and at a temp of 18c 50% humidity , humidity is a very important part of my dry and cure !!!

i then take off all the buds and pot on dry rack for another 3 days to harden off then put in to cure jars in the frezer

i had a guy complain about the main stem one time. i told him if he didn't like it he could go somewhere else and buy his pot and pay twice as much. after i told him that he quickly said he was sorry for whineing and asked when i'd have more ready. i've also had people complain about being a gram short. so i showed him my scales and asked him what kind of scales he used he said the lil hand held ones i asked him how he checked his scales to make sure they were right he said he just went by what his scales said i asked him to try something for me to weigh a nickel and let me know what it weighted. he called me later that night and said his scales said a nickel weighted 4 grams. so i asked him to bring that same nickel over to me and i'd show him something he sat there and watched me calibrate my digi scales then asked why i asked him to bring that same nickel over he weighted i told him drop it on my scales he was quite imbarest when he drop it on my scales and it said 5 grams showing him his scales were off.
