Default How Bad is light when curing?

Ok, how much darkness do the plants really need when hanging upside down? Would our bedroom be dark enough with dark blankets on the windows? (Of course there will be lights on, off & on...) Don't really have any place any darker than that.

That will be just fine.
Good luck with your cure.
Peace

I just hang mine in the grow room so they get 12 hours of light a day, doesn't seem to do any harm,I've gotten compliments on the flavor once it's cured. After hanging I put it into paper bags to finish dry, then place in mason jars for final curing, you know the drill.

It'll be fine like you've heard you need air flow and low humidity to fight off mold
Check this out,it's above my light panel on the light support ropes

well if we go by the theory then is light a bad thing as it destroys THC - but only slowly, and to be true - high humidity or too little air flow is for sure worse for your harvest as this will promote mold.

I hang it in the top level of my barn to dry. Little humidity, some dust, no sunshine, but it has worked for a few years so far. Good air flow, as it is an old barn, and nice and warm on a sunny day. I just wonder if it is too warm. How high should the temp be?

In Jorge Cervante's Grow Bible he says, best conditions for drying are between 65-75F and 18-24C, with a humidity of 45-55 percent. Hope this helps! I am currently drying out some of my havest at the moment and have stuck to this enviroment and having great results thus far.

a higher temp then 15°C/59°F as below that you get even mold at sub 50% humidity - that is what i learned the hard way on drying my harvest in old barn. if you face humidity above the 50% mark you will need a strong air flow to keep mold out, above 65% you can forget about drying anything and grow some mold.

if you have temps above 30°C/95°F you start to reduce the THC and notice a lack of potency in the smoke in spring '07 - at least that is what i got from a indoor grow dried in heated up room which i used for the job. guess it is the oven effect in slow - as with cheap weed which they dry in a convection oven in a few hours for profit cropping, usually diminishes the potency and due to the lack of curring make the smoke unenjoyable.
