Rep Power: 0 | | Drying Climate Hi again everyone. Well I just harvested , trimmed and hung my Afghan Haze Lady. It is in my closet hanging from fishing line strung from side to side. I have my small fan in there on high gently bouncing the air off of a wall over them. My question is this. What would the ideal Humidity percentage be for drying? I have my dehumidifier running in the room and the readings are 76 degrees and 34% humidity. I have 2 very large colas in there and am worried about possible mold. Will this dehumidifier help with that issue? I just want to prevent it as these colas are huge beauties. Cant wait to show ya these babies. Anyway i'm just wanting to avoid all possible mold issues and any help you could give me will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you again and peace, Med

Ya Bro I Hear Ya, That Is Why I Went To Screen's Along Time Ago, Yes Those Big Cola's Are Nice, But, Until You Having Lost Some To Mold They Look Better In A Pile Of The Individual Buds, With That Said, I Start At The Bottom Of The Colas & Trim Each Of The Small Bud's From The Stem That Make Up The Big Colas, & I Haven't Lost Any More To Mold, & I Feel They Dry Better That Way.
Your Conditions In Your Closet Sound Good, Keep That Air Moving.

Hey Med,Can you post a pix.I had that happen {mold} on a large bud.It weight 4.6ozs.If they are big like that I would split the stem down the middle and hang it.The low humidity like you have is fine.Congram on the harvest good going. Peace

I read somewhere that a really large cola can be slit with a razorblade to allow some air to penetrate. Has anyone else heard that? This is what happens when you read so much that you can't remember "where".

Rep Power: 0 | | My pics are kinda dark but I will get them on here. They have been hanging for about 12 hrs now. Is there still time to correct any mistakes in my drying method? I'm sure once you see a pic you'll get a better idea. Thank you and pix are coming. Med

Rep Power: 0 | | Well we are well into day two drying. No signs of Mold or anything that looks close to a start. Now it is 78.6 degrees and 36% Humidity in the dry cabinet with pleanty of air being bounced off the walls so air is movin constantly. If I maintain this climate I really dont foresee any problems. These larger colas are what bothers me when it comes to possible Mold growth beginning. Just thought i'd keep ya up to par on the process. Have a great day everyone. Med
