Rep Power: 28 | | Does it do any good to flush, if plants are past harvest time?
I have some Lowryder#2's which I waited a little too long to flush and some of them have not been taking up water at all anymore! I should have been harvesting them this weekend, but I flushed them anyways. As im still a noob to all of this, im wondering about this whole flushing phase and if I need to wait 7-10 days after flushing or can I just harvest them tomorrow?(Just flushed yesterday and day before) With these plants being past peak production, is flushing even gonna work?
Thanks

I would go ahead and harvest this week... If they are ready now I can't see what difference it would make,, but someone else might have something different for you,, good luck and happy harvesting to you

The answer is in the question . (Just flushed yesterday and day before)
Your plants have had enough water they are like a pipe system inside. You have managed to fill the pipes and there is no more room, hence no need to take anymore liquid.
I would leave them in complete darkness for a couple of days, then harvest.
You may find that seeds start to appear because the plant is well past its cycle. ( Bonus)
Next grow have a look at the flowering period timescale ( Keep a simple Journal ), then in the last 2 week stop everything. Those final 2 weeks you should be flushing every other day. ( I personally use Ripen to finish the ladies off in the last 2 week ) Make your last 2 flushes just water.

I would suggest you harvest them now as the trichs will degrade over time. Flushing is to remove nitrogen and other nutes from the plant. Personally, I never flush before harvest. I harvest in stages, as the trichs rippen and let the rest grow on, so I don't flush at all. This gives me a third to half or more buds. no need to in my soil as I just give them molasses and water for the final few weeks. If your nutes are IN THE SOIL there is no need to flush. You will not have an excess.
Peace

Peace | Thanks...yeah, I thought about harvesting the buds that are definitly ready and leaving the small, inner buds on the plant to grow. I did that last time and definitly noticed the inner buds growing thicker within a couple of days.

Some of the buds appear to have seeds, but when you peal them apart, theres nothing. WHAT UP WITH THAT????

Could be they where fertilized late in the bud developement and they just started.
One other thing: I will say that leaving the undeveloped buds on the plant to grow more has increased my harvest from a third to, I would say double with some plants. No one ever said all of the buds are ready at the same time. Just like with a tomato plant, you harvest as the fruit ripens, not all at once and then pull the plant. Try it! You will like it!

ive found that if you use any nutes at all, its always good to flush before harvest i personally can taste the difference between some bud thats been flushed good and proper and **** thats been bombed out and just hacked down.

Just Like To add, I Wouldn't Worry To Much About The Due Date, That's When The Widow To Harvest Can Open, I Would Go By Trich. Development & Color To-Wards Amber.
If You Have Flushed For At-Least Two To Three Days???,,On That Part You Should Be Good To Go.
