If the buds are very dry, you can put them on a screen over boiling water. The steam will add moisture and the buds will swell up a bit.
If the buds are too moist, they should be allowed to dry some more, then cured.
Most, if not all, street weed is simply dried; not cured. The curing adds weeks to the bottom line, but makes for much better flavor and less harshness.

I have that problem sometimes, mostly from it being a little dry, my mom (ha! that still trips me out..) told me to check the fridge, she likes to use a small piece of carrot, celery, apple, so on, put in her stash for an hour or 3, whatever it seems to need. I must say, after trying it, I go to my mom for weed advice way more often lol

when i get my Oz's i dry em a bit in a jar and then cure them till i run out of weed...
it improves them a bit cause they do come a bit compressed and slightly moist. (harsh smoking) i think i'll try water curing them next time...
I'm trying water cure right now, what's annoying is peps saying how bad it taste but ignorantly forget the potency's up and the smell down.
To bad for them I get to smoke it while they read my review

you water cure 'wet' weed?
i just realised this is sort of akin to water retting! which is part of the processing of the plant into fiber. its also done with linen ...

interesting.. never thought of this before.
(′wöd·ər ′red·iŋ)
(microbiology) A type of retting process in which the stalks of fiber plants are immersed in cold or warm, slowly renewed water, for 4 days to several weeks. The active organism is Clostridium felsineum and related types, which break down the pectin to a mixture of organic acids (chiefly acetic and butyric), alcohols (butanol, ethanol, and methanol), carbon dioxide (CO2), and hydrogen (H2
I'm water curing a HARVESTED plant, trimmed and then submerged.
I drake some of the water to see if it was similar to herb tea, yea and sweet too. (won't make a habit of it)
Going to 5 days as Jonnytree likes to end it, I'm making his bud dryer with the same materials.
This is for early bud over the dry cure that will be ready in 2 months total
So the water cure is an excellent way of not robbing the potency, taste, of the jar cure coming up
To clarify, is doesn't increase the THC but retains more of the THC in the process and striping the bad stuff away.
