Default Boiling at Harvest????????????

Chatting with a friend this morning and he tells me that he heard of a great new way to harvest.

Sure.

Apparently someone took a plant that was ready for harvest, dumped the pot and cleaned off the root system (the entire plant still attached to the root ball!), and then THEY STUCK THE ENTIRE ROOTBALL INTO BOILING WATER FOR 1 MINUTE! Idea is to then hang the plant (whole) upside down for 24 hrs.

Supposedly this shock causes the plant to take anything and everything left in it's stalk and shove it into the buds.

Is it even feasable, or is this along the lines of adding peppermint to your feeding water to make your plants taste "pepperminty"?

I've heard of people boiling roots to make a thc tea to drink themselves.

But never anything like this. Im sure it wouldnt hurt anything since you're already harvesting the plant. But having any benefit.......I'll let time prove this as true or false.....

But I have my ideas.

Besides...How can one prove that the plant did what was claimed?

Actually guys, I have done this in years gone by. I had heard the same thing so I tried it. Not sure what affect it had. We had a propane bbq at our campsite so as we pulled the plants we thrust the roots into the hot water in a big old soup pot. left them for a few min. then hung upside down in our barn loft to dry. This year, well, different by far. I don't know that it had an affect. i know with herbs, such as mint and sage you can do the same, and it supposed to help with the taste.
