has anyone seen windowfarms.org? looks pretty cool. I've never tried growing hydroponically but have always wanted to. do you think a setup like this might work for growing bud?
Hey All,Yes that will work.Remember MJ is a weed and it can and will grow in just about anything.Look at a thread here called the {THE TOWER OF POWER} Here's the link, greenpassion.org/f/20/freds-tower-power-4885. Have a good one. Peace
I agree with Toke, MJ is an easy to grow plant. Your system is very similar to some existing grow methods, please take a look at this vertical growth and you will notice it
Peace

*drools* i want a tower of power sooooo bad. window unit looks cool too the only thing that concerns me is small root space and possibly the weight if you have that many plants growing there.

I am a medical marijuana patient - my plants and use are covered under State Law. I do not endorse illegal activities in or out of the state/country. So don't tread on me.
the project is supposedly going to be designed for easy customization to accommodate different needs. and the best part is that it doesn't cost a lot to build. on the page they mention using windshield washer pumps, plastic bottles, and other inexpensive parts.
I like where they got their ideas from:

The foundational knowledge base is emerging through working with agricultural, architectural and other specialists, collecting sensor data, and reinterpreting hydroponics research conducted by NASA scientists and marijuana farmers. We have been researching and developing hydroponic designs that are inexpensive and made from relatively inexpensive materials. The working prototype is a drip system made from recycled water bottles, holding 25 plants. Beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, arugula, basil, lettuce and kale are thriving.
Yea I saw that tower of power thread...I was like the dudes gotta be an engineer or somethin...thats bad ass, Id like to try a set up like that one day
