Someone set me straight, when Ph falls it means there not eating or eating?

I thought it was a sign there happy and eating when the Ph falls?

As the ph drifts up the ppm's should be going down,in witch the plants are eating.The ph go's down the ppm's will most of the time go up.The plants are not eating or up taking any nutr.Try and keep a journal of the water's ph and tds,nutr mix ph & tds and when you change the res read the ph 7 tds and write all down start to finish.Watch the grow through there cycles and note what you see with the ph & tds.If you do this with your grows you will fine what strains are nutr sensitive and what range of ph & tds they grow there best in. That's about all I got. Peace
