Rep Power: 31 | | what do you put in your cloner?
i've heard some folks use just plain water but i've also been given a list of nutes to add to the water i use in my cloner. i've been told that a good clone nutrient mix would use liquid karma, hygrozym, root juice, and fulvic acid. what about vitamin B-1? what do you use in your cloner? thanks.

I only use a little superthrive in my bubble cloner, and it works for me so far.

Just plain water and a drop of superthrive in my bubbler.I use rootech gel on the stem to help root them. If they are all nice and green and have one or two roots I use gh 3-part mix at 2-2-2 mls per gal.
They have roots now and they are clones, meaning they want alittle food to eat for they were eatting before they were cloned. They are the same age as the mother too. About three days to a week they are back on a regulator feeling program. It works for me. Peace

Peace | lol, that was the idea, lol.
and everyone knows i retired my bubbler for the 'ice-tube-tray' cloners
so now i just use plain tap water, although i still dip my cuts in rooting
hormones.
(i'll be trying honey starting my next round, i've heard it works just as
well as rooting hormone for a fraction of the cost, plus, you can get it
at the supermarket so i'm gonna give it a try)

i used filtered water, made ph 6.5-6.8, one drop of superthrive per gallon (nothing else put in the water). used TakeRoot powder (from home depot) when taking clones to put in rapid rooters and rockwool.

great! thanks for the info. i'm going to stick with just pH'd water and superthrive rather than the list of stuff i was given. cheaper and hopefully easier. thanks.

high man, just wanted to say that, as a former bubble cloner user (i have
a DIY here at GP, bozo's bubble cloner), you might want to check this thing out.
i know it doesn't look like much but it works so well and has so many
advantages over bubble cloners that i retired my bubbler about 8 or 9
months ago. World class cloner new at walmart - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums
these pics are after 9 days, ...note that i don't have just a few scraggly
roots dangling into the res, i have well developed root SYSTEMS, and
all in 9 days.

I tried to find one of these ice cube trays at my local wally, and they didn't have any. I was so bummed! I have a handful of clones to snip, and wanted to try this instead of breaking out the bubble cloner for a few weeks. I will try to find one again this coming weekend. Quote:

i had a heck of a time finding them in Wally's as well, and all the employees
i asked looked at me like i had 3 heads, they had NO clue what i was talkin'
about, lol.
what i did was to walk up and down all aisles that contained any kind of
plastic housewares products until i found them, lol.
(try looking in the spot where they sell plastic water bottles for bikers
and hikers and such)
btw, you can get them from Amazon. ...oh yeah, you can also use the
things they use for making popsicles.
here is a picture of the packaging for the 'ice-tube-trays' at Walmart and
a couple of a cloner made from a popsicle maker.
as long as you understand the principles at play, you can always adapt
them to fit your own unique situation.
good luck!

I know i'm gonna look for a diff configuration cause it's too hard to put 27 decent sized cuttings in the ice cube tray...imho it's the vermic doing the work here...
.....those popsicle trays look good ........
my 2 cents.,,lol
have a nice day

I found one! I had to go to another walmart a bit farther away, but sure enough they had 5 or 6 on the shelf. Right where I had been looking at the other wally... so I know they were out. Anyway.. it is up and running with 6 clones of various types... I am a personal grower and don't need many spots in the tray.

I usually use just plain water pH'd to 6.0 until stubs start to appear... then just add a capful or two of your bloom nutes. The extra K is good for root growth. In the past I bought and used root additives (they are usually something like 0-0-.5) and this works just as good. No need for the extra stuff (liquid karma, hygrozyme).

High all...
Tap water (220ppm/7.5ish, Ph) - (homemade 2 gal. bubbler) til roots (8-14 days), 90% sucess, then 2-400ppms/5.8>6.0Ph)
I've used Olivias cloning gel, I like the way it sticks to the cut but I've also, not used it, and have gotten 90% success too...
