Default A Warning needs to be posted.......

...............and then pinned to the top of this forum!

I started reading about how folks were doing using the various Hydro techniques chatted about in this forum and have been freakin' GLUED to it ever since!

WARNING: Reading about Hydroponics when you have been a dirt grow is hazardous to your ego, and only a small dent in your wallet).

Roseman: you are the Sensei of Hydro from what I've read so far!:yes master:

My next grow will most definately be with some type of Hydro system, and I am leaning more and more to the BubblePonics system for ease of use and it seems a cost effective way to step into the Hydro world.

Like some other Med folks, I need to grow specific to my illness, so having too many plants is an issue. Having fewer (like maybe 3 flowering in any month) is more than sufficient for my illness, and from what I've read so far, the Hydro is multiple-times more effecient than soil is.

.............I can see it already...I'm gonna be in trouble with the wife again... (I can only hide the receipts for so long...she pays the bills!)

ISO

(I've determined that this indoor gardening stuff is about as much fun as anyone can have with their pants on!)

My thoughts on this are:

I believe that people make it sound harder than it really is.
It really is easy, as easy as soil.

You can do it, as long as you aproach it with a common sense approach.
Stick with what it tried and true for you.

I just did a dwc grow with no meters or nothing.

I did not even have rockwool, so I substituted a paper towel for a rockwool cube, and this worked great for me.

In the beginning, when the towel was dry, I would open the bucket and take a cup of the solution, and water the towel with this, I did this until the roots hit the bucket.

My plant grew from a seed to harvest, with absolutely no issues whatsoever.
My yeild far exceeded a soil grow.

I used foxfarm nutes, and it tastes great.

A plant that will produce a pound will be quite large...without a doubt.

I would think it would be hard to make a box large enough to fit a DWC grow...but I've never tried it..so...yeah.....I'm talkin out my ass a bit.

What I do know is that I have 5 DWC buckets going and the 9 x 11 room I built for them may not be large enough in the long run... LOL.

some kinda fun....

hmm... what about a 2ftX2ft 16 plant (4plants/ft) SOG bubbler bucket under 400w hps... would give you a pound if you could pull an ounce off of each clone...

think it'd be too hard?

veg to 14'', top, let the lat's grow to catch the topped top, then flower. you will get a pound per plant.

and yes, they are huge, but compact, and gigantic buds (like twice the size of a coke can is normal)
