OK, this DWC is "fun", but getting laborious and stressful.

Over the course of the last few days I've done the nute change, and both bins are running 500 PPM and steady at 5.6 Ph. Each 10 gal. bin (2 plants per) was set up with 1 tsp. Plant Marvel - General Purpose (20/20/20) and 1 tsp. PM Cal-Mag Special (15/5/15). This "should" have all the goodies they need and then some. This can't be a mag deficiency

That's the good news.

They don't seem to be liking it much. See T-nails below. I'm not sure WHAT the issue could be now. The leaves that had the damage from the mag. deficiency continued to look sicker, and I've removed several leaves that just were dragging the plants down and would never recover.

I think I went "too far, too fast" in the nute change.

Here is my "idea". I was using the Aqua Vega nutes (made by Canna for Hydro use) and the Plant Marvel is NOT made specifically for Hydro, but in talking with the factory folks they told me it "should" do a good job. It isn't.

So, if I use 1 tsp. of the Cal-Mag (Plant Marvel) and the Aqua Vega it might settle them down. I don't see that the PPM is running too hot...these plants are average 9" tall now, except for the C-99, but it is growing well, just not-to0-attaractive looking and doesn't appear healthy!

Odd thing is, the plants are still growing! they look like crap, but growing. The curled-down leaves on NFO 4 have not even blinked in 3 days...I think they are toasted, but have left them in hopes they might recover.

Ideas? Suggestions?

flush the plants..then apply the cal mag an ish..it looks like you might of caused a nute lockout...peace

How do you flush plants that live in DWC? Just give them Ph'd water for a week?

Looks like nutr lock out.how cold is the grow room?Is the res colder than 63 degree?Are you using a ozone genertor?just flush them out.Fill The res with PH plain water for 3 days to a week.A week would be better.they will drink water and clean then self out ,after that they will want some nutr.Start back at 1/2 strenght nutrs.do you have air moving around in the grow room.see if that helps. PEACE

Hi Toke,

Good questions! (that's the only way I learn anything, it seems).

The room has been running 74-77 lights on, and 65-70 lights off. I run a heater in both rooms when lights are off cause it would get too damn cold in there.

The res's are running about 68 degrees, which I hear is a good temp? No ozone generator, and took your and 2stoned's advice on the flush and they are now sitting comfortably in pre-heated 68 degree water that Ph'd out at 5.5 and 180 PPM. Pure water and I added 1 drop/gal of Superthrive just to give 'em a little something in there. It didn't change the PPM reading at all.

Circulating Fan runs 24/7, and I can let them go a week, no prob, so long as they are improving as they show a bit of tonight. I'll start them back on a blend of the original Aqua Vega and a small amt. of the Cal-Mag, and try to keep the PPM stable at 300 or so before they ever see it.

You may want to foliar feed them by misting them with Thive alive B-1 or a similar foliar spary.Not to strong.I use spring water from wally world,1 gal go's along way.Besure to PH it and let it sit for aday,check the PH and mist them.I would wait a couple days before misting them.This way they can recover alittle first. PEACE
