After I germinate, I put em right into my soil mix, inside a large dixie cup.

video, he is trying hydro not soil...

leap, the guy in the video is using grodan rockwool cubes you can buy in some good garden centers most of us lack - but for this problem are there online stores like HID Hut or similar which carry those things. i would check where you bought your fertilizers for the grow if you bought them online

ebay could also be an option to get em: grodan, Home Garden, Sporting Goods items on eBay.com

As you have a hydro store near you, I read in your other thread, go there and get either rapid rooters as toke told you or the rockwool cubes. They will also advise you. Make sure you tell them you are growing TOMATOES (nudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean, know what I mean?) One thing about the rockwool cubes, they have to be ph'ed correctly. They will tell you that. Peace.

Yes, Ileso, it has to be ph'd correctly. It has to be soaked, rinsed, and ph'd for the correct ph before use. I am a dirt grower so this is not my area of experiance but someone will chime in.

Ieso, start a thread about it, and show pics and we will help you, hon.

ileso: rockwool cubes have a higher pH usually than you want in hydro systems. it is suggested you soak the cubes in pH'd water of 4.5-5.5 for 1 day prior to putting seedlings/clones in them. you seeds may still live if you didnt pH the cubes, but it may be odd or slow growth for the first few weeks. the rockwool can also raise the pH of your bucket nutrients, so keep an eye on that

will do as soon as i can, but im currently moving so my life is a turmoil, and trying cloning for almost the first time isnt helping, as soon as i settle down ill do that...cause i could use the help.

before i used to clone into dirt cups using a rooting powder ( a bit like KOG does in the movie) i ususally got 90% positive results, not that i did that many, maybe around 20 in my whole life. now im using clonex gel in rockwool, sinse i dont have a real cloning chamber i use a 5L water bottle, with the clones inside. im just in the experimental phase, but so far out of around 10 failed clones in 5 different experiments i got 1 fully rooted clone and one half rooted one (only i thick root hair showing).

yeh, ok, ill take some pics... i realise for indoor i gotta be more organized and not just wake up one morning and say ' right today ill do this ' and forget about the whole thing for a week and then go back to see how it went...

this is really being an education cause it sounds easy when you read it

you could try this...put em' in rooting power or cloning gel and then just pop em' in a cup of water....you know, like a flower in a vase, MJ and many other plants will start growing roots this way...but it takes some time, not hours, but days or even weeks, but it works for me
