I have a 430w Son Agro, and I noticed that after using it for a couple of weeks there seems to be some rust looking stuff around the metal ring at the base of the bulb. It's on the outside of the ring towards the lip by the glass, and also on the inside in various spots on the metal. Has anybody seen this before? Just curious if this is normal. Thanks

I don't think it's a problem, I have some stains on the Mogul bases, I checked.

I think it's the glue that they use to seal the lamp with.after it's fired off the first time it starts to turn rusty looking.If it's working and not causing problems than I would just let go.Peace

Ya checked my bulb and it has rust also, some times it even smells when hot
