i need to know about root rot. how do you get it, what are the signs, can you save your plants? what to do and what not to do. gp kicks. i love the knowledge and wisdom i have found here.

Higha, I'm no expert, but I've had it a # of times. I would suggest looking up the FAQ. It will help you more that I can remember. Here's what I've noticed
Nute solution is way too warn a temp. I've fould my girls like about 67F.
Too warm will aid in the growth of bacteria.
I use SM-90 by Nutrilife.
I have also cut the roots. They did not die, but I was way afraid.
You will notice your roots look slimey and brown. They should be white. My mother has great looking roots.
If you notice the roots brown and slimey I slide the roots between two fingers and pull down the roots taking any exess slime, or I have also rinsed them in luke warm water.
Clean container with bleach, rinsing well.
Mix new Nute solution, I would recomend Not giving it full strength. Starting out low and building uo as needed.
