I used a capful of HP in my DWC buckets, and never noticed an issue, but in the E/F system it just killed me. Had to toss to plants that never got going...they grew, but real skinny and never got over 12" in 6 weeks. Everything esle was purrfect with the res., etc.

JMHO, of course...Closet has more hydro experience than I have, and a tablespoon shouldn't hurt in a big res. Once my flower lights fire-off tonight I'll get a pic of the roots...you would be shocked at how brown they are, but then, the Canna nutes I'm running in there are very brown in color...maybe the roots become the color of what they eat?

i have HP 30%(very strong) that i got from my hydro shop...i used it for cleaning pond water that i used in my outdoor grow last summer...it also juiced up the water with a lot of Oxygen which is good but when i bought it i was told to not let it touch my skin and make sure i let the water sit for 24 hours before using it on the plants. i dont think im going to attempt using it. if you could get a pic up of your roots like you said i would be thankful...just to ease my mind

hi ice although whiter roots look healthier than slightly brownish looking roots it by no means means that the roots are rotting.

best stuff on the market is made by growthmasta called microbial cost is £21 per litre bottle.

used at 1ml per litre of made up nutrient solution as a preventative measure against root rot aka pythium or if you have root rot use at 2ml per litre of made up nutrient solution.

this is superb stuff i use it always in hydro but it cannot be used with any h202 products nor any enzyme based stuff.

although the aformentioned 2 products wont be needed if you use microbial.
