Default My Plants are getting to tall! What to do?

I just switched over to flower about 4 days ago but I think i let my babies veg too long and might have a conflict with ceiling room i have about 8 inches left. So at this point in flower do y'all think it would be alright to cut about 4 inches off the top of my plant or will that effect my main kola too much? Thanks in advance!

trimming during flowering can be rough on the plant but you might be early enough to not have a huge growth stunt...not totally sure though. dont do anything til you get some more feedback

Do you have a picture? How about LST'ing? I know what you mean! Outside the nice sativa's don't have to worry about cielings!! if you can make her bush out and still not cut the main cola it is better. If she is not in full flower yet, and just starting it will be fine. But it is better not to. There is a lot in the thread about lowering the height of your plant, in several ways, without having to top or cut the plant. Hope it helps. read also how pappy pinches the stem and how this helps tall plants.

i dunno what your lighting is but when i see mine getting a lil bit to big for my space i move my lites twords the sides of the plants and not so much on the tops. i use clf's and i have a plant that is good 18 to 20 inches wide its 20 inchs tall and has 14 noids and 4 big ol colas going out the top of the plant. not to mintion all the flowers popn out the sides b/c of the side liteing. ive learned you can grow your plant any shape and size by just placeing your lites where you wont them to reach out for. imma grow one upside down one of these days! =-)

Sounds like you'll still have some streching to go yet.

No No don't top it, just give it bow legs. LST it and bend over gently, or even prop the pot at an angle (put something under one side). Worst case, pinch/crimp it (until it loses its structural integrity and you'll hear a snap on the inside, without tearing it off the plant) and then bend it gently and stake it.
