| Moving from DWC to Ebb/Flo? Anyone ever do their vegging in DWC, then when it's time to go to flower changed them over into ebb/flo? I a just curious as to how the transition went, as it may be a cool option. I know a vegging plant in DWC can take off like a rocket...and from what I am seeing the ebb/flo really does a nice job in the flowering dept. ISO

Sounds like an awesome new place! Might have to watch the RH down in that concrete basement...it can get damp in those areas, especially in winter. I might give this a try some time. For now, I am removing the E/F tray from the flower room so I can flower out some soil plants. The ones in veg now are about ready (6 of them) and waiting will cause me issues with larger plants taking up too much room. I much prefer BUD than branches! ![]() What I was thinking was vegging in 3 gal DWC buckets using the netbasket lids, cutting the bottom out of the netbasket in the lid and setting a 5" netbasket in there. By doing that removing the netbasket from the bucket for the move to the E/F system should be a snap. Vegging plants in DWC is much easier for me than flowering them in it, as the E/F plants can be secured with a netting over the top, and you don't have to raise the lid to add water to the res., when in DWC the motions needed to add water (almost daily at times) is difficult. Why? Because you are trying to, at the same time, support the plants tops and open the bucket to add water in.... these things are not....harmonious. Might be easier for a young, co-ordinated person...just difficult for me. ![]() ISO

| Sounds like a nice grow area. You may have to change your name to BunkerDWC. I am curious about this too.. I am starting out in soil, but am interested in a Hydro setup in the long term. Ideally, I would like to keep a little of both. Quote:
