Default light needed for rooting

i'm wondering if i can cut back a little on lights for rooting so that i can save some electricity and cut back on some heat. right now i have 2 large household fluoro bulbs lighting up my cloning shelf and in an area of 2.5 x 4 x 8 ft, with one other 95 watt fluoro grow bulb, my temps hold around 80 degrees with an exhaust fan and circulating fans running constantly. the outside temps, where fresh air is drawn from, is 65 to 70 degrees. i can't figure out what's going, but i can't afford to have the ventilation fan running for 18hrs. if i can go to one fluoro bulb for cloning i'm thinking that might help hold the heat down and give me a few extra cents savings to my electric bill. is there a minimum number of watts i need to root? thanks.

Plants need VERY little light to root. If the plants get damping off, or fall over they need more light, but you can drop the levels really low and still get roots.

I like to root on the minimum amount of blue light as is possible. Always gets me roots with the healthiest, greenest plants. Signs of too much light are yellowing before they root.

And if they are in a dome, you do not need the exhaust system running. It will not exchange the air in the dome so why run it?

Just make sure those temps stay around 80f and you will be fine. One tube will be fine. That is all I use.

Peace
