i have some Grodan Gro-blocks, i know that you have to soak them in p.h. 5.5
my question is should i use lemon juice or sulfuric (battery) acid ?
i kinda need to know asap 3 of my beans are almost ready to be planted
either works, it will take less sulfuric acid than lemon juice to make the solution 5.5. add any acid to make your solution 5.5 - the strength of the acid determines how much to add.

so I'll soak them in sulfuric @ 5.5 p.h. level for a few hours then should i flush them with 5.5 after or just let them sit?
i want to get it right this time around so i'm being extra careful., so any advice would be very helpful..
thanks in advance
rock wool is ph neutral. the plants like the 5.5 ph, so when the rock wool is 5.5 the plants will like the rock wool. now the trick is keeping the ph at 5.5

so how do you go about doing that?use only 5.5 water?
Hey Mylife, What you are asking is do you soak the rock wool in acid and then flush them with 5.5 ph water. NO.Adjust your water {tap water after it sets for 24 hours}to a 5.5 PH and soak the cubes. Drain the cubes and plant your plants. If you can post a pix it would help alot for us to help you better too.Go to the DIY forum and look at the sticky called PH Minus by lagboatlenny it will give you the battery aicd mix.
