Stealth hydro recommends every 2 weeks, but I tend to agree more with knottyd, doing it every week.

You should also be careful, from what I've read about that system, be careful how many plants you place in it.

If I owned that system, I would go to home depot, and for $17.00 they have a much larger tote you can buy there, it's like double, if not triple the size of the original.

I would than transfer the guts into the new setup.
You can cut the holes in the top, with either a sharp knife, or a
3 1/2" hole saw.

This setup, would handle 6 plants.
(If you decide to take this route, and need help, just ask)
Peace

they as to my knowledge are the first to incorperate the water pump in to the system to directly feed the root ball. and the 2 bulb lighting system is also nice to have come in the package i added a few more hids but they would work fine for a 1 plant setup stealth grow. and as for the water question i was changing every week untill they got to big to lift as the lid they are in is flimsy (another reasone to go with 5 gal bucket)

Even with my very limited experience, I find the 5 gal. buckets way easier. The 10 gal tubs I was using are too heavy for me to lug around, and I can't pick up the plant out of the tub (with lid, of course) to relocate to a clean, fresh bin. I can do that with the 5 gal buckets., making reservoir changes a snap!

I have found that after about 10 days I start having Ph problems with both the buckets and bins, so I am doing a full bucket change every 10 days. (today is one of those days). Up to the 10 day mark the Ph is rock-solid...then it starts to drop in big chunks and has to be adjusted daily or it falls below 5.0. I've seen it drop from 5.5 to 3.9 in less than 24 hrs.

Default Water Change

Hey Guys,About 10 days is all in 5 gal bucket. The bigger the res the longer it will stay stable. My EBB&Flood res is 14 gals and I did a few times change it at 14 and 15 days. But I was feeding them on the weekly feeding chart by GH. The Max in any Hydro system is 7 to 10 days with most strains. PEACE

Once a week keeps it easy to remember.. I do my change on sundays. A day of rest for most, I set the whole day aside to play with my plants!!
