Default How do you stake a plant like soil in a Hydro system?

I mean look how you dirt guys can stab the soil and get the bonus of support for the plant with the stack.

Only way I see supporting a plant in a hydro system would be those tomato cages you see at Home Depot right? but you would have to have it in plant when it was small.

Stringing up the plant from the top but careful with the moving lid of the reservoirs.
Hope I'm making sense.
SOG or ScrOG would be taking it to far.
Thanks

Ya I Have Seen Them Stringed From Above, But Ya Can Turn Into A Pain In The Ass, Over Kill??,,Taking It To Far???,,Maybe In Some Eyes, But IMO Building A Screen With 4" Squares In A Frame, That Is Supported Off The Wall Or Stand Alone With PVC Is The Way To Go With Hydro, It Will Support Massive Buds & You Can Work Under It Easily..

I'm Sure You Won't Like It, But That's My $0.02 Worth & In Experience Has Worked Great For My Needs.

Sounds like the way to go I'll have to sit in the grow room and get and Einstein moment on the framing.
But I would say these pictures of a frame work over buckets is genius. take a L@@K

OK I got it !
I'll go to a welding supply and buy up there 1/8" 3 ft Stainless Steel rod.
shove them down past the stone and down to the roots carefully !

I used to use those when I ran DWC and SWC (the modular bucket scrogs). they work great.

Default Trellis

I used trellis made of string (bought from grow store). You can see it in this picture. Pissed Off Pothead Home/Pics/SOG-3

Would the SS rods cause any problems since they'd be inside the Rez? Any reactions or Ph changes because of using them?

I use metal fencing wire (comes in a roll @ Casa De POT) and simply wrap the 5 gallon bucket with it...tying it back on itself to hold it in place. Kinda like a tomato cage but homemade. With this I get a good 2 ft of support up top.

I got tired of the plants falling over @ 6 weeks into bloom! Yikes!

the yo' yo's work well also....if ya like string all over the place.

good luck
