OK folks. i plan on making my presence much more noticeable on this forum, and im starting by making this new hydro thread on my brand new grow from seed.

I will be growing 3 strains: Ice (my specialty), BubbleGum (new) and Sour Diesel (YES!!!!). Since i am growing from non ferminized seed, i will need to sex each plant eventually. Unfortunatly i only have 2 seeds of sour diesel, so i hope they both germinate so i have a better chance of getting atleast one female. I have 5 Ice and Bubblegum seeds ea also germinating.

I started by soaking the seeds in filtered water for 2 days in the dark untill the tap root sprung out. I then prepared Grodan rockwool cubes by soaking them in filtered water with a touch of PH down to balance the higher PH of the rockwool, along with a dash of BCuzz root stimulator for a few hours. I put each seed face down about 1/4" in a marked cube according to strain. Ive put each cube in a humidity dome to keep the cubes nice and moist longer. Ill keep this in the dark untill the seedling breaks through the surface and starts to look for light.

I also Revamped my entire grow room, ill be using the ebb and flow table from my veg room in my flowering room now. It will be placed on the floor instead of elevated 3 feet, which will allow me much more vertical space to grow.

Hobo's Hydro Grow Journal, Comments Welcome there are a couple different grows, the best was the first though. optimal environment in my grow room that time of year. (which happens to be this time of year) WOOOT! i cant wait, im growing some monsters baby!

that wiring looks a bt crazy to me, is it safe??

lol thanks for pointing that out. im gonna mount it on the wall not on the ground and organize those wires, alot of unnecessary crap in that mess. but it is safe, i have 2 15amp circuits up there and only 10 amps of power being used at the moment max.

I have just been spraying the cubes a couple times a day with straight water to keep the cubes from drying out. I got 4 sprouts. At first i was hesitant about getting the 400w MH too close to the fresh young seedlings, but it looks as though they are light starved and stretching for the light to the point where they cant support their own weight.

I had it about 5 feet from the bulb, i since moved it down to increase the intensity of the small footprint to keep the seedlings from stretching. They are about 3 feet from the bulb now and looking better. I propped them upright with some strategically placed tooth picks, and also put a small oscillating fan on the weak seedlings to emulate the natural force of wind which will in turn strengthen the stalk.

im a little upset, only 3 have sprouted so far, i can see the seed coming through the rockwool on some of them, but i think the taproot was exposed to light, or i drowned them when i was soaking em. :( i started germinating some more so they should only be a week or so behind the others.
