you're gonna like that cloner but i'd recommend you start with smaller cuts.
personally, i've had better success with smaller cuts. Quote:

you new things so, even if they all die, you will have learned much so it will
have been a success.
the real secret to success with these ice-tube-tray cloners is to make sure
you keep an inch of water in the bottom of the bin and to then make sure
you keep the temps in the low 80's.
have you read the original thread for this on ICMag? ...it's well worth the read!

Ok I recut a couple just for the hell of it and noted which slots they went in so I can compare results later.

It might help you a bit to cut the big fan leaves in half. This means they will require less moisture and energy to live and root faster. Leave them in the medium though, just cut the leaves in half like this:

Less than 18 hours in and they are already looking good. The stems of the cuttings are resilient with no wilt and starting to lift the cut leaves towards the light. A couple of the larger ones are standing almost straight up.
justanother the temp is 75 F, I was not prepared with the means to warm them when I got the cuttings so I am just going with ambient temp and seeing what happens for now.

btw, if you look close you'll see i have my cloner bin sitting on top of a milk
crate with a lamp under it, ...it's there to generate heat so my res is kept at
80 to 82, lol. ...just my ghetto answer, until i can get myself a heat mat.

Over 3 days in, 100 percent survival. The guys at the medical marijuana dispensary were laughing at me when I told them what I was using as a cloner and insisted I needed an aeroponic like they use (appx $300). He who laughs last...
Now the pressure is on to finish the grow room!

It went... ok. In the process of moving them into the grow room I left them uncovered to long and they almost died. They all recovered but it really delayed them rooting out, so they spent over 3 weeks in the cloner and were starting to get some stem rot so I pulled out and put them in the DWC. They are rooting nicely now but very small and sad looking.
On the bright side the seedlings I started in the wally cloner are doing great, and a friend of mine felt so sorry for me when he saw my poor little clones that he gave me a blueberry mom.
