that more air in the root system seems to promote faster growth? I have some plants in totes with three round air bubblers in each tote pushed by a nebulizer. I noticed that one plant was running off and leaving the others so I got to looking and realized that one of the bubblers was diretly in the root system of the largest plant...so I took the other 5 bubblers and placed then directly under 5 other plants and sure enough they took off like a dehydrated person on a drip. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have seen this claimed many times from growers on other sites.

I have also read where they claim to get a growth boost after the res is changed.
The boost is believed to be because the roots were exposed to oxygen for a short period.

I would think as long as they did not dry out that periodically exposing the roots would do wonders.

I mean do not let them sit out so long that the roots start to dry.

I would think more than 5 minutes and less than 15 minutes every week or two..

This is just speculation based on other growers findings though.

I hope to start a dwc in the near future myself.

Bloodshot convinced me with his dwc bucket.

I know for a long period of time he was just running water with very little to almost no nutes.

I think it was an expierement.

To stoned to recall entirely.

Also in theory this is why you like those misters. They allow oxygen to access the roots but they increase the surface area of root that is getting nutes to intake. hence the supposed increase in growth BD. At least that is what I am led to believe.

Hey...U know how I feel about the mister and we told everyone else...that's all u can do......I've got enough misters and new disc to mist the northern part of the state. Soon as I can get this pic deal figured out I"ll post one of the plant I was talking about....there's no denining it...ti's in the same water, same nutes, same light, same everything...so it's got to be all the air I got blowing up it's butt...lol Maybe it's just swelling up...

I 've had tons of experience experimenting with suppling EXTRA Oxygen to the roots, and from depriving it of Oxygen. You get amazing growth spurts!
My X Wife is doing a grow, I loaned her one of my SHtealthHydro tanks and systems. She told me last night that she got a 4 inch growth spurt in one day from a two week old plant, when she changed the water and nutes, and allowed the roots to dry for 5 minutes.

I love doing experments on them...nothing to hurt em of course...I love my girls....even stay up with them all night...lol Ask Toke if I'm up when he gets up? I had the ones in dirt in 3 1/2 gallon pots...this weekend I took another 3 1/2 pot and filled it w/ secret blend and then cut just the bottom out of the first pot and sit it on top on the new one...that causes one hell of a growth spurt and these never showed any signs of shock...just kept right on booking. I found two clones last night that had hermied...these were clones that were taken from a female last grow...is that unsual? These areo gardens are what really trips me...I never would have thought u could go from start to finish in one...

hey you all I have a question about the DWC's.Do you leave the bubbler on during the dark cycle 24 hrs or does it need to be turned of at night.
