Exclamation Got a small problem can anyone help me?

So i set up my bubbleponics system a few days ago and had seedling growing in it...I realized on the 3rd day of growing that the ph was at 7.0 i read in Jorge Cervantes book that optimal ph for growing should be from 5.8-6.0. Would this affect my plants in the long run? even if i already put down the ph?

If you have the pH corrected, it will be fine.

7.0 is high for a hydro plant. If it were mine (and TokeCrazy wasn't around to ask..LOL!) I would refill the res with plain 5.8 Ph'd water, let them run on that for a few hours to get used to a correct Ph before adding any nutes, etc. Any nutes should be a 1/4 strength or less with a baby that size...

Best I know what to do. Someone will be along soon that "really" knows what they are talking about...

Hope that helps ya!

Hey Guys all three are right. It is what the plant wants. In my cab 14 gal res Ph 5.7 and the last change it was 5.6.Hydro the PH range runs from 5.4 to 5.9.The lower the ph will provide more nutr for up take.At higher PH levels some trace element&nutr get locked out or less available for up take.Water temp plays a part in Up take too.to cold and growth stops,to high plant is boil inside out.I get ready to chage res if the ph is in the range most the time around 5.6 and 5.7 I dont do anything to it.The less you have to add just the PH the more stabilize your res will be. PEACE

Well if correct on this, look it up in Videoman's pH thread in the beginners section, the perfect pH range for hydro ranges from 5.8 to 6.0 - so the midpoint of 5.9 will be the best pH in 90% of all strains.

I just Looked up where I read the PH range for hydro.Cannabis Cultivation by Mel Thomas and he's say the ideal ph range for cannabis cultivation is 6.5 in soil and about 5.5 in most hydro solution. Some place eles I resreach has it from 5.4 to 5.9, I do know that I run mind at 5.6.Like I say before each strain has it own ph range. Some may like a 5.8 or 5.9 and some 5.5 or 5.6 .I set it at 5.7 and go from there. PEACE
