Hey MadMax,I use GH 3-part nutr.To answer your queston ,what is your water like?If you are using distilled or Reverse Osmosis or rain water you will have to add some cal-mag.From the last week of veg I start adding Botanicare sweet to give her some carbo to grow fat on.If your tap water's ppm's are around 300 to 600 let it sit in with a bubble stone and bubble it for 24 hours so to take the chorine out. Then just use the GH 3-part by it's self.Later in flowering add sweet or some carbo's and you will have it made.Gh by it's self dose the job well.If I can help more just hollar. Peace

use the GH 3part myself, but in the 8ml micro/16ml bloom lucas formula for flowering. RO water and cal mag as well. works great, cheap, simple and stable, works for me.

ive heard mixed reviews on the FN but havent used it myself.

Hey MadMax,No chorine dose kill plants.Plants dont need chorine, chorine kills bacteria in the plant and the mirco in your nutr.Your ppm's at 35ppm's is real good. With low ppm's you may want to add alittle cal-mag.But get the chorine out of there is all I can say. Peace

Opinions vary about dechlorination. Some say let it sit in an open container overnight. Some say five minutes, max. I would at least let it sit for a couple hours. Chlorine will evaporate rather quickly, and if you really wanted to speed it up, just boil it for 10 minutes and then let it cool to room temp.

Chlorine is used as an all purpose sanitizer, so I would think that it would do plants more harm than good.

just fyi, many municipal water systems are using chloramine, instead of chlorine. its basically i believe chlorine with an extra hydrogen molecule, allowing it to be much more stable. that means it cant be bubbled out of water, in any amount of time, it cant even be boiled out. theres no real simple way to get rid of it other than with an RO filter system.

Hey All,I have had the same problem with chorine and chormine.I build my filter system and I get the ppm's down to 245ppm's.The water at the tap comes out over 450ppms and after I filter it I add my nutr and bubble it for 24 hours before res change.T he first filter is a carbon block with a .05 filter and then to a ice maker filter and to a bigger ice maker filter and bam there my water with no chorine and a ppm of 200 to 245 ppm's.Here's a pix of it,It works for me. Peace
