And to add to what jangel contributed.. I am going to end up building a seperate chamber.. pretty small.. just to sex clones plants. Doing it this way.. I keep any potential male out of my "girls dormitory" (my flower chamber). The sexing chamber will only be used to take a somewhat mature clone of an undetermined sex at about 6" tall and flower it just to tell sex. That clone is basically a martyr and will be killed off regardless of the sex... it will be too small to be worthwile flowering for a full 8-10 weeks. I will only use this chamber for clones that I am not sure are male or female... like from a bagseed origin or something

I hope all this helps and does not muddy the water.. let me know if it does and I will try to clarify.

Hey GG don't kill it if it is a girl! Put it back into veg once it shows sex and it will resume vegging. Even if it is flowering it will still grow and some flowering plants gain 3 or 4 times by the time they are finished. Don't kill her, man! That is a waste!

Thanks.. you are right!.. I should clarify that for my particular set up, I might. I have about twice the amount of clones that I need and don't have the space to keep all of them. I know it is a bit of a waste, but I figured if i have 2 clones i flower to show sex..the other 6 would still be in veg. I was kind of going with a "survival of the fittest".

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I'm Lit's wife. Thank ya'll for being so nice to us. Your experience and wisdom has helped us greatly and we both appreciate it very much.
So right before I started to write this (this is actually my second time) I missed a chance to meet a famous rapper!!! I was laying in bed turning the computer on and He came over with a friend of my husband but he didn't want his friend to stay so I went to bed and he stayed up waiting on his friend. His friend didn't tell him that he was bringing someone along and he just showed up and before they left his friend handed him some OG kush. He found a seed but it's white not hollow feel's good but the colors not right. Anyway we will exclude name and title for security purposes. Sorry don't wanna get anybody in trouble. WHAT???? OMG There was a celeb in my house???? Oh well

My husband is an idiot ... he didn't even tell me til they were gone.

It's beautiful
A very nice upbeat high, but not yet jumpy.
Numb toes..numb feet for that matter.
Relaxed but not lazy. Extremely relaxed.
Oh and we have pictures for everybody to enjoy and to feast your little eyes on.

Well seriously I'm not writing this to brag I see the babies growing and I see how much information that we have received from this website has been astronomical. We both now have true respect of those that have been in our position before and are now here to help. We feel as if we shouldn't be buying these things anymore. It's time for a tad bit of freedom. "Jangel" Thank you for being so concerned and by the way he told him absolutely nothing. The lights were for his mom's aloe vera plants. lol. I'm not trying to exempt anyone out it was just an example of the kindness and love that we felt from this site. I hope that we can continue our journey in learning so we one day can help those in need.

Hey guy's I'm curious if leaves on the plant determine the sex?
I have a friend that told me that because of the number of leaves if it has seven points not five

It is my understanding that the # of leaves indicate the progressive state of the vegitation and not the sex. So, early fan leaves may have 3, then 5 on the next shoot.. then 7, etc.. I have some nine leaves on my big plant right now.

I think the only way to tell sex is to flower one and see if its got balls or pistils.

You are right to a point, GG. I have one type of plant, well, 1 points on all leaves, just buds! Here's a pic.

If you want to sex it during veg the only way really is to look in the top most growing tip, you can sometimes on some strains find a calyx with a tiny hair (requires magnification often). This can only usually be found right at the top most developing node, and as I said not on all plants.

There are 2 features that distinguish mature veggie plants from immature ones. They are alternating nodal arrangement and leaves with 5 or more blades. You can flower before those features are present, but the plants perform a whole lot better if you wait. Most strains except for equ. sats have these by 12" or so. Personally, mine have always had these features before they reach 30 days old.
