| my guess is light is your biggest issue. Look into high pressure sodium (hps) or compact flourescent lights (cfl) with the correct color temps you are looking for. dont quit....

| Litmy, eyemethatguy is very right. Your plants are leggie due to lack of light. Take a read here: Indoor Growing - Dedicated to Cannabis Education, Recreational. Medicinal, and Cultivation. Check out the HID club and the CFL club. We need pictures of your shop light. I think I know which you are using but I am not sure and also need the type of bulb you are using: what are the numbers on the bulb, or if you have it the box the bulb came in. Once you get all that info and let us know what your budget is like we can help you some more. Peace

| Hey.. hows it going buddy. It looks like your room is off to a great start. I agree with the other posts.. I would swap out that light for something that is geared toward growing. Depending upon what size space you have, ventilation options, and how much money you have to spend you can upgrade your lighting pretty easily. I would suggest using some CFLs for the vegging stage and get that swapped out asap. You can go to home depot, lowes, or any other big box home improvement store and get a bathroom light bar, a few y-splitters for the sockets, and some cfl bulbs (6500k and 2700k). That will give you a huge improvement in the growth and health of your plants. This would be probably be your easiest and cheapest fix. The one thing you will have to watch out for is the heat generated from the CFLs. While one CFL may not seem hot.. 8 to 10 can raise the temp in a small space pretty quickly. You will want to make sure you have a good bit of ventilation in and out of the grow area. Are those holes in the leaves? Do you have any pests under the leaves that are feeding on them, or hiding in the soil? And finally.. it looks like you are on the right track. A few little modifications and you will be just stopping in to check on your plants and do some routine maintenance.. everyone has to learn their own personal variables and apply the knowledge here to fix them. Whether it be water issues, pest issues, heat issues, etc.. everyone has a few things to overcome!

| Hey litmy those light you have are not going to work. That's why your plant is all leggy and pale green. The incandescent lamps no matter what the watts are do not have the right light spectrum. If you can invest in a 4 tube T-5's light.or a 400 watt MH or HPS air cool light. The first time starting out in hydro you have to spend alittle cash to get what you need to have to grow hydro. One is a good light,2 is a PH pen&tds pen or a ec pen.You have the bubble tub and net pots and hydroton and air pump. Now we come to water,If you use city water it has chroine in it,Draw your water about 8 or 9 gals in a tub and let it set for 24 hour with a air stone bubbling away. It's called gasing off the chroine. You can use 3-5 gal buckets to draw water in too.Now mix your nutr and let it set for hour or two.Now check the PH and the tds{ tds is the measurement of Parts per million}.Your Ph should be in the range 5.5 to 5.9 for the best up take in the plants. The tds tells you how strong the nutr mix is.At start you want a low tds around 250 to 400 ppm's and in a week bump them up alittle each week till you are at full strenght.Next you want make sure you have air moving around your plants{fresh air} and to exhaust the the old air. After you get going you will spend about 15 mins to 1 hour with your plants a day doing your daily maintenance.Checking the PH&TDS,adding water to the res,and all that is needed it to maintain your plants. What are you using to PH the water&nutr mix with? The first investments are alittle costly at first but you only buy it one time. You are half way there.Oh try posting your pixs on our site, cause we are on a secure server and then I can look at them.Your pixs dont open in your post.To post pixs ,click on Go advanced, post your mesage and then click on manage attackments, there you can post your pixs. Just hollar at me I know you will if you need to know more.I got to go to work now so I'll check back tonight.; Peace

Also, an air cooled hood is a wise investment, which ever way you go. If you can find the store you are going to online then PM me and we can go shopping! I like shopping in hydro stores! That and hardware stores are my favorites! Hope this helps you out, bud.
